In this work I look at how everyday objects and environments combine into new kinds of images through technology-assisted work. The source images, form and texture, are drawn from ordinary photographs and from archives of AI-generated images. Arjentehosekoitin brings out new, aesthetic sides of familiar everyday environments. For the Ars Pori exhibition, for example, I used a photo of shopping carts from a local supermarket, combined with a construction site at Herttoniemi metro station.
I use the Flux Style Shaping program to make the image syntheses. Through the process I've learned to read the program's logic, which is partly random, better, and to find new subjects as potential source images for its melting furnace.
